As impacts from development, pollution, and the climate crisis become increasingly evident, now is the time to proactively safeguard the pristine rivers we have left, utilizing all available tools. Right now, we have the opportunity to do just that by designating Washington’s first-ever Outstanding Resource Waters (ORWs). Proposed for the Cascade, Green, and Napeequa river systems, ORW designation would protect these pristine rivers from all future development or activities that would degrade water quality… but the WA Dept. of Ecology needs to hear from you to make it happen.

From 6-8pm, WA Wild staff will be on hand to discuss the ORW campaign and help folks fill out Action Cards to send to Ecology in support of these important protections. WA Wild will also have their new Brewshed® t-shirts for sale and we’ll be raffling off some great prizes. A portion of proceeds from Brewshed® Alliance members’ beers sold that night will be donated to Washington Wild to support their mission to protect our wild lands and waters.
